Brian Hsueh

Brian is an active consultant, advisor, and investor in early stage biomedical ventures, and is the Co-Chair of Medical Devices and Digital Health at Life Science Angels, one of the nation’s leading angel investment organizations. He is passionate about bridging the infamous “valley of death” between scientific breakthroughs and real products that benefit patients, and serves as an advisor to ImpactMed. He began his career as a pharmaceuticals/biotech consultant with Putnam Associates, and as a data scientist at Dataminr.

Brian studied Chemistry and Computer Science at Princeton University, and is pursuing an MD/PhD at Stanford in the departments of Neuroscience and Bioengineering, where he has published research in leading scientific journals including Nature, Cell, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and previously directed mental health services at the Arbor Free Clinic. Brian enjoys singing and running, and is a retired competitive ballroom dancer.
